Shari L. Quick, M.D.
Medical Director
Dr. Quick has more than 22 years of experience practicing medicine and is the current Medical Director at Lawrence Memorial Hospital for Acute Rehab and Skilled Nursing. She has been instrumental in helping countless patients return to their best physically - in part through the use of therapeutic BOTOX®. Those experiences, and frustration with seeing growing numbers of women who simply wanted to look their best end up with less than subtle results, led her to open Sunflower Aesthetics. She and her staff are committed to making the patient experience personal and making the results natural.
Dr. Quick received her undergraduate education at Southwest Missouri State, her medical degree at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and her postgraduate education at the University of Illinois School of Medicine at Urbana-Champaign. She completed her education at the University of Kansas Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident.
A Lawrence resident, Dr. Quick has been married for 32 years to her husband, who works in the athletics department at the University of Kansas. With their son pitching for KUs baseball team and their daughter on the Free State volleyball team, Dr. Quick enjoys watching her children and ekes out just enough time to nurture the baby ducks they rescued.
Kellian Kelly, APRN, FNP-C
Director of Nursing
Kellian received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Kansas in 2011 and continued her nursing education with a Master of Science in Nursing from Pittsburg State University. Kellian has worked in health care for over a decade, with experience in hospital settings, a cardiology clinic and a family practice environment serving low-income patients.
From the initial complimentary consultation to tackling fine lines, sun damage, hyperpigmentation or an effective skincare regimen, Kellian is personally invested in her patient's outcome. Whether you are interested in BOTOX®, JUVÈDERM® or HydraFacials, Kellian combines her training and patient experience to leave her clients comfortable and confident with the results.
Kellian is married and has 3 young daughters. She loves the fact she can be an example of how women can empower themselves through self-care. “I feel the name of the spa, Sunflower Aesthetics, speaks to natural beauty, purity, strength, and happiness. That is what I want for my patients and characteristics I want to instill in my girls.”
Kelsey madl, RN, BSN
Nurse Injector
Kelsey received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2014 from William Jewell College. She spent several years as a critical care nurse, followed by nursing in the outpatient neurosurgery setting.
Kelsey’s goal is to partner with her clients to create a plan of care to achieve desired results together. Kelsey believes that it is a privilege to get older, and she’s excited to offer therapies like BOTOX® and Juvéderm® to help her clients feel beautiful and confident.
Kelsey and her husband have three kids, four dogs, and two cats, and live in the country - where she’s trying to learn how to garden and raise chickens. She also enjoys baking and sitting on her front porch swing.
Jalon Hutchens
Office Coordinator
Jalon earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1988. She began her career as an elementary school teacher in Nebraska and Florida and then as a curriculum editor in Iowa. Upon her family’s move to Kansas, Jalon became a stay-at-home mom - raising her 3 (now grown) daughters. As her girls entered school, Jalon kept herself busy with various positions including preschool teacher, personal trainer, gymnastics director, and admissions at LMH Health.
Jalon was offered the opportunity to join the team at Sunflower Aesthetics and was excited to bring the benefit of her varied experience to our practice. She strongly agrees with the philosophy of helping patients focus, reclaim and enhance their own natural beauty. As Office Coordinator, she strives daily to create a friendly environment where the patients are comfortable, and the staff is well supported.
As active members of the Lawrence community, Jalon and her husband, Chris, serve on several local boards and committees supporting various charities and non-profit organizations. In their spare time, they enjoy working out, playing golf and spending time with their children and first-ever grandbaby.
